Esperanza

Classic multibit conversion with a modern supporting architecture.

Esperanza is a high-performance digital-to-analog converter built around classic Burr-Brown PCM63 or Analog Devices AD1862 multibit DACs, combining a classic conversion architecture with modern digital interfacing, carefully engineered clocking, selectable digital filtering and NOS operation.

Amiteque Esperanza digital-to-analog converter
Overview

Multibit conversion, engineered as a complete system.

Esperanza is not built around a feature checklist. Its architecture is centered on the converter, the clocking, the digital filter path and the analog stage that follows it.

At the heart of Esperanza is a classic precision multibit converter architecture based on the Burr-Brown PCM63 or Analog Devices AD1862. Rather than treating the DAC chip as the entire product, the design surrounds it with modern digital input handling, selectable filtering, NOS operation and a low-noise analog output architecture.

The result is a standalone DAC intended for serious listening, studio use and systems where the quality of the digital-to-analog stage matters more than software features or proprietary control layers.

Esperanza supports multiple digital sources and provides both single-ended RCA and balanced XLR analog outputs, allowing it to integrate naturally into domestic, studio and measurement-oriented systems.

Applications

Designed for real audio systems.

Reference playback

Use Esperanza as a dedicated external DAC in a high-quality listening system built around digital sources.

Studio monitoring

Feed balanced analog monitoring chains from a dedicated high-performance conversion stage independent of the converter inside an audio interface.

Digital source integration

Connect S/PDIF, AES, optical or USB sources to a single dedicated conversion platform.

Analog line & vinyl playback

Use the analog input as a conventional line input or switch it to the integrated phono stage for direct connection of a turntable with an MM or MC cartridge.

Classic multibit systems

For listeners and engineers who specifically value genuine PCM63 / AD1862 multibit conversion rather than a modern delta-sigma implementation.
